FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s your price range?

Our dresses are priced approximately £1,000 - £2,500. These prices exclude alterations, which almost every gown will require. We can give you an idea of alteration costs at your appointment as these are priced on the exact requirements.

Do you have sample dresses to buy off the peg?

We have our 'Ready To Wear' range. This is a carefully selected range of gowns that you can take home with you on the day! Whether you have a close wedding date or you are looking for a steal, our Ready To Wear range has you covered.

What size are your samples?

All gowns are sample gowns and we generally only carry one size per gown. We carry samples in sizes 8 – 24, so there is a chance that you’ll need to use your imagination when trying on dresses.

Your dress will be ordered in your size based on the measurements we take, and please do keep in mind that alterations are to be expected with any gown purchased to ensure a perfect fit.

When should I start my dress search?

We recommend beginning your dress search about 12 months before the big day, placing your order no later than 8 months before. This allows enough time for your dress to be made and then for fittings and alterations to take place.

Please don’t worry if you have less time, we have lots of other options available, so please do get in touch!

Do I need an appointment?

We operate by appointment only, to ensure that you are given the space, privacy and undivided attention needed to find your own bridal style, at your own pace. During your appointment, you’ll have the chance to browse the whole collection and try on dresses with one-on-one assistance from one of our bridal stylists.

You can book an appointment online or by giving us a call on 0118 327 5506.

If you need to rearrange or cancel an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.

How long is my appointment?

We allow 1.5 -2 hours for your first appointment, allowing you plenty of time to try on a good selection of dresses. Follow up appointments are usually an hour, where you can try on your favourite dresses.

How many people can I bring to my appointment?
We can only accommodate up to 3 guests at your appointment as we are an intimate boutique and are unable to host larger parties. Too many people with different opinions might confuse you and make your decision harder, so make sure you pick a few valuable people whose opinion you really trust.

Can I take photos during my appointment?

Unfortunately, due to copyright, our designers request that no photos are taken of any of the dresses in the boutique.

Is there parking at the boutique?

Yes there is plenty of free parking  just outside the boutique.
We are only a 20 minute walk from Wokingham train station and local buses also serve the area.

Can I bring children to my appointment?

As much as we love children, we would always suggest that you leave them at home in the care of loved ones, just to make sure you have enough time to concentrate on finding your perfect dress!

What do I need to wear/bring?

We recommend wearing plain, nude-colour underwear. Bring heels if you have a certain shoe height in mind, and shapewear if you plan on wearing any on the day. Please refrain from wearing fake tan and/or heavy make-up or lipstick in order to prevent stains on our dresses.

How do I pay for my dress?

When ordering your dress, we require 50% of the total price of the dress before we can place any order. When your dress arrives, we will give you a call and arrange for you to come and try it on. We require payment of the balance within 7 days of us notifying you of your dresses arrival.

Unfortunately we do not offer any finance plans.

Are you able to store my dress?

We are more than happy to store your dress at the boutique when it arrives with us from the designer.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Due to the nature of all orders being made-to-order, we are unable to offer any refunds, returns or exchanges, once an order is placed. Likewise, if you purchase a sample dress, this is purchased in the condition it is in and we are unable to accept returns.

I want to try on a specific dress, will it be in the boutique?

Generally all our sample dresses on our website, will be in the boutique at all times. There are rare occasions when the sample will be off the shop floor for styled shoots, cleaning or repair. Where possible we avoid this at the weekend when the shop is busiest.

Please do give us a call ahead of your appointment if there is a specific dress you’d like to see, just to make sure we have it in the boutique ready for you to try.

I'd like to try a dress from one of your designers that you don't hold a sample of, can I borrow it?

We can sometimes borrow styles we don't have samples of from our designers, provided they have them available. Please do get in touch if there is a specific dress that you'd like to try and we can discuss how to go about borrowing this.

I'm running late for my appointment, what should I do?

If you are running late, please do give us a call as soon as possible, we totally understand that sometimes delays can occur. We will hold your appointment and will be as accommodating as possible, however as we work on an appointment only basis, it’s likely there will be another appointment booked after yours, so we will be unable to run over time.

Do you offer alterations?

We offer an in house alteration service for all brides to ensure a perfect fit before the big day. Debbie and Vizma will be on hand to fit all gowns, within the comfort of the boutique, at a convenient time for you.

What do I need to bring to my fitting?

Please bring along your wedding shoes and any underwear you’ll be wearing on the day, to ensure your dress is adjusted correctly.

When is my first fitting?

Typically, your first fitting will be 6-8 weeks before the big day

How can I clean my dress after the wedding?
